The 8 Controversial and Divisive Scriptures

That Cause Division

Yes there are about 8 very important scripture where 50% of believers interpret them one way, and the others interpret them sometimes even 4 and 5 other different ways, they are the scriptures that have caused most of the division and the breakup of the Unity in the body of believers, and have caused the divided understanding of the true interpretation of the main gospel message, of what and who, the most important points of our Faith is really all about.

Scripture should, and actually does unite us together in total Unity, not divide us, providing we read a verse of scripture in context with the whole paragraph, chapter, and sometimes in context with the previous and following chapter. Sometimes the false prophets even read a verse out of context with the sentence by not quoting the whole sentence. The following chapter 14 comprises 33 verses that can not be distorted and mean what they say and say what they mean. They are as true and as basic as you can get any foundational belief about GOD.

Let me first give you one or two very simple examples of what the false prophets actually do to lead people astray. The most used and famous one they use and quote is (John3v16). They tell everyone it says (John 3v16 says, Who ever believes in Jesus is saved) When you look it up and sadly most people do not, you find it says For GOD so loved the world that he gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. The false prophets whose job it is to cause division will always leave out GOD the Fathers part in our salvation.

(Rom10v9) is also one they quote as saying (Whoever confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord will be saved) They make new converts say this as a confession of their faith when they ask Jesus to come into their Life. Again this is half a sentence and guess who they purposely leave out?. The rest of the sentence is ( , and believe in your heart that GOD raised him from the dead you will be saved.) This you will notice right throughout this chapter is what the objective of the false prophets is. They do not want you to believe in the existence of GOD the Father. (2Peter 2v1-3) tells you this, and is discussed at length in Chapter15 Testing for false prophets.

These 8 scriptures are the playground of the false prophets and the anti Christ which we are warned about so many times in scripture. The false apostles, who even work miracles, masquerade as angels of Light and even act as servants of Christ, and claim to believe in Jesus himself. They are the ones whose main work, objective, and job it is, to separate, divide, twist and tweak the scriptures, cause dissension, and the destruction of the Unity and love of the true believers in Christ and GOD. As stated in the following scripture (2 Peter 2v1-3) ( 2Corin11v12-15) (Acts 20v29-31)

These 8 scriptures are the WHY, THEREFOR, REASON AND CAUSE of the Christian faith being so divided and separated into well over 1,000 different Christian Faiths and belief systems, just these 8 scriptures, out of the ten thousand available.

The following are the scriptures, and the two or three different doctrines and interpretations involved, in the order of the frequency of which they are used. Remember these scriptures are very definitely controversial, and should be avoided at all costs if you are converting someone or discussing the true gospel message, with the object of bringing about Unity or promoting Unity in the Christian Faith. No mater what you yourself believe, you have to understand that these scriptures are being interpreted two or three different ways, which we can do nothing about, which result in division if discussed. We have to agree, to disagree, agreeably, on their true meaning. We need to believe that these 8 bring division not Unity and consensus. Yes there is a true interpretation of the 8 troublesome scripts, which I am sure you will see clearly by the time we are finished, and the reason why they are so destructive.

There are many other scriptures that are in dispute on insignificant maters that do not alter the most important basic foundational principals of the true gospel message of the Christian belief, nor do they, or are they, the reason or the cause of all the division.

We need to focus our discussions on the thousands of other scriptures, that mean what they say, and say what they mean, and do not need any further comment, explanation or interpretation, scriptures which the false apostles never ever use, nor do they have any other answer or suggestion to alter there interpretation.

Lastly we will list a lot, in fact an overwhelming amount of key scriptures that will unite almost any true believers, that unambiguously state what the main points of the true gospel message are. Scripture that the false prophets never ever talk about that blow all their theological theories out of the water of the river of life, which is now flowing from the throne of GOD.

You will come to notice very quickly that their arguments revolve around one subject and point only. Just as Christ and his true followers object is to Unite us all back to worshiping and believing in GOD our Father, their main object is to drive us away from ever even believing, that there is a GOD and Father. One can safely be assured that if anyone uses these 8 scriptures, it is a sign, that they are more likely than not, false apostles and prophets.

All false statements and quotes are parts of sentences, paragraphs or chapters. In all cases they are always interpreted out of context with the chapter and the rest of scripture and sometimes even the sentence. The false apostles play on the fact that the majority of people sadly do not read or study their Bibles to see what the truth is for them selves. The problem in 90% of cases is not that they are quoting lies, but are only telling you only half, or a quarter of the truth of the complete story being told.

THE CONTROVERSIAL SCRIPTURES ARE

(1) John 1v1-3.  (2) John 14v8-9.  (3) Isaiah 9v6.   (4) John 20v28

(5) 1John 5v7-8. (6). John 3v16.  (7) Colo. 1v16  (8) Revel 4&5.

(1) The first most used controversial verse

(John Ch 1v1-3);- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, (and the Word was GOD.) 2 He was with GOD in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has ever been made.

Most people believe that because it says (and the Word was GOD) they believe that Jesus, who they believe is the Word, was also actually GOD the Father himself. They believe they are one and the same person. That the Word is just another part of or manifestation of GOD. They say that Jesus who is GOD, made the whole earth, and every thing in it. Therefore he is the only one they need to give praise and glory to. They also say when you go to Heaven you will only see one person sitting on the throne Jesus who is our LORD and GOD.

The minority believe that the 2^nd GOD in the first verse should have been the word Divine. The Word they believe was with God. To be with someone they say you can not be that person, also in verse 2  it is repeated  He was with GOD- In the 3^rd verse the word Through indicates that someone else, worked  through the Word who they believe was GOD working through his Son Jesus. Verse 12 says that those who believed in him had the right to become children of GOD not his Jesus children. Verse 14 says Jesus is the one and only son who came from the Father. The son can not be a Father as well. Verse 18 also says that Jesus is at the Fathers side, and is the only son, and that He is the only one who has seen GOD. Plus it says He Jesus has made Him, GOD Known. He did not say he made himself known. Verse 49 same chapter:- Nathaniel says Rabbi you are the son of GOD, you are the king of Israel

(2) NEXT

(John 14v8-9) Philip said Lord show us the Father and that will be enough for us v9 Jesus answered Dont you know me Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father, How can you say show us the Father?

Most believers will tell you this verse clearly says that Jesus claims to be and is GOD the Father. Therefore he is the only one they need to give praise honor thanks and glory to. They believe that GOD the Father came to earth him self to die for us and raised himself up from the dead. That Jesus was just one of his three images OR ANOTHER PART OF His essence.

The minority again believe that you have to at the very least read the whole paragraph plus the chapter, to grasp what Jesus is saying. He is very definitely not claiming to be GOD the Father. In verse 1 Jesus says Trust in GOD, trust also in me. V 2 In my Fathers house there are many rooms. In verse 6 Jesus says  No one comes to the Father except throughme.V7 Jesus said If you really knew me you would know my Father as well  verse 10 says I am in the Father and the Father is in me. The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather it is the Father living in me who is doing His work verse 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the father is in me. V12 Tells us we can do what Jesus is doing, even greater things. That is if we invite the Spirit of Jesus and GOD’S Spirit into our lives. (Rom Ch confirms this.

1Corin 3 verse 16&17 tells us what Jesus is trying to say, Don’t you know that you yourselves are GODS Temple, and that GODS Spirit lives in you. If anyone destroys GODS Temple, God will destroy him; for GODS Temple is sacred, and you are that Temple  This minority believe that Jesus came to represent GOD, to be his mirror Image, Exact likeness, His high Priest and not GOD himself. But was and still is His only begotten Son. A Priest they say can not be the GOD as well. You are either a Priest or the GOD.

(3) NEXT

Isaiah 9v6.  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Councilor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Here again most believe and have been told they don’t need any more proof than this to be convinced that Jesus is GOD the Father, the Mighty GOD, and the everlasting Father.

Even when you study the verse in isolation instead of reading the whole chapter, or at least the next verse, the argument is that it says, He will be called other versions say They will call Him verse 7 (say the other interpreters,) clearly says The Almighty GOD not the Mighty God will cause this to happen, The word Prince indicates he is GODS Son not GOD His Father. Jesus was referred to as Father because he was sent to represent the Father, just as Abraham is referred to as the Father of all nations. But we all know he was not GOD the Father. He was sent as God the Son. Not GOD the Father. The rest of the chapter must be read to understand further proof of the meaning of verse 6.

John 20v28 Thomas answered My Lord and my GOD

Most believers say this one verse is proof enough that Jesus is GOD the Father. They say you dont need to read any other verses. You only need to worship Jesus who is GOD. The same as (John 1v1)

Yet, Verse 31 in the same chapter says;- But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of GOD, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Now they say that if you don’t believe he is GODS Son you can not have life. (which is referring to eternal life) The word GOD refers to the titles of the three heavenly beings, GOD the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Spirit, who are in total unity, agreement, one accord, purpose, from, and possessed by one Spirit, The Spirit of GOD who is over all, in all, through all, who believe in HIM GOD the Father. Ephes 1v10  1Corin 15v28, confirms this.  If one says I believe Jesus is GODS son, you are saying you believe in GOD and His son. Two people which is what John 20v31 is saying.

1John 5v7-8:- 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit the water and the blood, and the three are in agreement.

There is one translation of the Bible out of 70 translations that says (and the three are one) therefore they say, Jesus is GOD the Father, as Well as the Spirit. They are one and the same entity, essence and person. Others say they are three separate people but part of the one GOD. Both feel it is only necessary to worship Jesus who is the one and only GOD. This verse is also used by the Trinitaryans, as the main reason for there belief in the man made doctrine of the trinity, or Unitarian GOD belief. They say scripture says there is only one GOD. But has three parts to himself.

The minority once again say the first part of the 2 verses 7 says clearly:- (For there are three that testify)  verse 8 in nearly all other interpretations of the Bible use the words (are in agreement) (unity) (in one accord) (all three give the same testimony)

The very next verse which the others never quote and hope you don’t look it up says:- 9 We accept mans testimony but GOD’S testimony is greater because it is the testimony of GOD which he has given about his SON. The next 4 verses also be-lie the statement that all three are one and the same. It is generally believed by those who do not agree with the concept of the man made Trinity doctrine, that no other misquoted or wrong interpretation of scripture, comes even close to doing the damage, destruction, separation and division of believers than believing in the Trinity concept.

(6) NEXT

John 3v16. (For GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believed in him shall not perish but have eternal life.) This we have touched on.

Nearly everyone believes that this verse actually says (whoever believes in or confesses the name of Jesus will be saved.) They say that whoever confesses this, will definitely go to heaven. They do not believe it says you must believe in the GOD and Father of Jesus as well as Jesus. They do not believe that you have to believe in anybody or anything else, only Jesus. When they have an alter call, they say all you have to do, is ask Jesus to come into your life. Most of them also never sing any songs to GOD the Father or preach anything about GOD the Father.

The other believers believe that to be in keeping with the rest of scripture the verse actually means that one has to believe in GOD the Father as well, who the verse is saying loved us all so much that it was He, GOD, who gave His Son up for us, and that it was him GOD the Father and Hs son that we need to believe in, and in His love for us, and then we would be saved. There reasoning was that it was GOD, who we have been separated from since Adam, and that Jesus was sent by GOD, to reconcile us back to our GOD and Father who was his God and Father. When we believe we need to ask both GOD, and His Son to come into our lives by the Power of GODS Holy Spirit. 2John Chapter 1&  Romans 8v 9-17

(7) NEXT

Colossians 1v16 For by him all things were created.( and it goes on to say) and all things were created by him and for him.

Here again the majority believe that Jesus not GOD made all things, because he was GOD. Therefore they only give thanks and praise to Jesus for everything.

The apposing argument is that when one reads the whole paragraph, never mind the whole chapter, it is very clear that God created everything through Jesus, who He it says in verse 15. is the  image of the invisible GOD. V19 also says (For GOD was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in him.)

(8) NEXT

Revelation Ch 4&5 both these chapters it is claimed are all about worshiping Jesus. The descriptions of Him who sits on the throne in both chapters they believe is Jesus who is also they say described in Revelation 1v12-20. Most believers believe that when you go to heaven you will only see one person sitting on a throne who is Jesus our God and Father, which they say the 3 chapters are all about.

The others believe that Chapter 4 is all about worshiping GOD the Father and most of Chapter 5 is all about praising Jesus and there is one verse in Ch 5v13 that says we must sing praise honor and glory both to the Father and the Lamb Jesus. Both GOD and Jesus need to be believed in, and given praise and honor and glory and thanks. They also believe we must believe in the power of GOD, the Holy Spirit that GOD used to raise Jesus from the dead, Romans 10v9. GOD deserves to be recognized as well as Jesus.

33 TRUE BASIC FOUNDATION VERSES

THAT NEED NO INTERPRETATION

Revelation 1v5 —To him who has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and Priests to serve his GOD and Father to him be power and glory for ever and ever! Amen

1John 1v3. We proclaim to you, what we have seen and heard, so that you may also have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. v4 We write this to make our joy complete.

1John 5v9 We accept mans testimony, but GODS testimony is greater, because it is the testimony of GOD which He has given about His Son. Anyone who believes in the Son of GOD has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe GOD has made Him out to be a liar. Because he has not believed the testimony GOD has given about His Son. 11. And this is the testimony:- God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of GOD does not have life.

1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 15. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

1Peter 1v21 Through him, you believe in GOD, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in GOD

Romans 8v11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies, through His spirit that lives in you.

1 John 3v21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence  before God 22 And receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his (God ) commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his (Gods) command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 24 Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he (God ) lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he (God ) gave us.

1Corinthians 3v16 Don’ you know that you yourselves are GODS temple, and that GODS Spirit lives in you. 17. If anyone destroys GODS temple, GOD will destroy him; for GODS temple is sacred and you are that temple.

Romans 15v5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6. So that with one heart and mouth  you may

glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7.Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Ephes 1v2. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Praise be to the God and Father our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Ephes 1v17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him (God) better.

Colo 1v12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. 13 For he (God) has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he (God) loves, a holy priesthood, offering  spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God, through  Jesus Christ.

1 Pet 2v9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy  nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him  (God ) who called you  out of darkness into his wonderful light.

1 John 2v23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 24 See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.

1 John 3v1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. (God )

John 17v25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they (disciples) know that you have sent me 26. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself (Jesus) may be in them.”

1 John 4v10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 15. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

1 Tim 2v5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Mark 12v29 The most important one answered Jesus is this: Hear O Israel. The LORD our GOD, the LORD is one. 32 Well said Teacher the man replied You are right in saying that GOD is one.

1 Cor 8v6 Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

Psalm 83v17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace. 18 Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD  that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Psalm 82v6 “I said, You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’ 7. But you will die like mere men; you will fall like every other ruler.

Rom 8v15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of son ship. And by him we cry, Abba, Father.”

Rom 8v16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus 24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me; the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.

1 John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. (God )

John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Rev 5:13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on  the sea, and all that is in them, singing: “To him (God) who sits on the throne and to the Lamb (Jesus) be praise and honour and glory and power for ever and ever!”

Roma 16:27 To the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

1Corin1v20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not GOD made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of GOD the world through its wisdom did not know him, GOD was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

1Corin1v27 But GOD chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; GOD chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things. 29 So that no one may boast before him. But GOD has revealed it to us by His SPIRIT.

1Corin 2v14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of GOD, for they are foolishness to him and he can not understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
