INTRODUCTION

I had been to many churches in my life, but the first time I actually went to a church with a desire to seriously and truly find GOD, the preacher came out with this earth shattering statement. That the real hurtful truth is that GOD does not need any one of us or have to have us in his life, He can and does exist without us. GOD existed before us and will exist after we have long since come and gone. I was so shaken by this statement, that it was all that I could do, was to only remember these words out of his whole sermon. These words of rejection as I saw them, just kept revolving around and around in my head. I could not wait to get out of there, and I declared I would not put my foot back in his church ever again. That same night I came back and stayed for 5 years.

After 24 years had passed I was reflecting on those first few days when I came to believe in the power of GOD. I was thinking about all the massive Dinosaurs that roamed the earth, we have their bones to know that they really did exist. I was wondering if GOD did not get tired of them, and decided to get rid of them, and decided to put man on the earth in their place. Then I thought about the Great Flood of Noah’s days when GOD even got fed up with all of us as well, and decided to wipe us out to, except Noah and his family, who were the only 8 people who were righteous and believed in HIM.

Today I know, that yes it is true, GOD does not need any of us or have to have us in HIS life, but does really want us, and would truly do anything to have us know HIM and love HIM, and to want and appreciate HIM, and to realize the unbelievable and incredible Love and deep concern HE has for each and every one of us. Today I know with every fiber of my spirit soul and being that GOD loves us all, and what’s more, wants to bless us in everything we do. HE has plans to prosper us, not to harm us. Yes it is true, although GOD wants us, HE does not need us, it is us that really do need GOD, and should also like HIM, want HIM in our lives more than anything else in this world.

All we have to do is to recognize HIS very existence with thanks and appreciation and praise for this wonderful earth that HE has created for us, and for all the things that HE has done for us in our life, and the things HE has already given us and wants to do for us and bless us with .  We also need to appreciate that GOD created us as the most superior of all of HIS creation on this earth, with potential beyond our wildest imagination or understanding, we can even fly to the moon, if we would only work with HIM and with each other. Unlike every other creature He created, we alone have the gift of choice to choose, who and what we want to be and do, and who and what we want to believe in, even in HIM. Instinctively we know what is right or wrong, and how GOD would want us too live our lives, the choice though, is always ours. We could even give up our freedom of choice and live like an animal and follow the herd if we want to or some other individual.
