In (John 6v28 & 29) The people asked Jesus “What must we do to do the works GOD requires” (v29) Jesus answered -The work of GOD is this - to believe in the one He has sent (John 6 v38) says For I have come down from Heaven not to do my will but the will of the one who sent me. Jesus also said in (John5 v 24) I tell you the truth whoever hears my words and believes in HIM who sent me (that is GOD The Father) has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.( It is clear that we should not only believe in Jesus but also in the one who sent him. His and our GOD and Father) We must do what Jesus was doing, MAKING GOD OUR FATHER KNOWN. (John17v26)
Our Lord Jesus Christ has given us all a commandment that we should go into the whole world and preach the good news of the gospel to all creation.Mark16v15-16 and then he will come back physically. In Matthew (28v19) Just before Jesus ascended into heaven he said go and make disciples of all nations (v 20) teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. We need to plant the only true UNITED Vine from our Fathers vineyard that bears good fruit, that also lasts FOREVER, grows and Multiplies. The branches that do not bear fruit will be cut of forever. So what exactly is the GOOD NEWS?
In (John4v25) The Lady at the well said to Jesus “I know that the Messiah – Called Christ is coming” When he comes he will explain everything about God to us. Then Jesus made this startling declaration ” It is I, who speak to you I am he, the Christ”.
Now there are many things that Jesus explained during the two days he spent in the town where the Lady at the well lived. I am sure he gave them many commandments. A lot of what he said to them was certainly Good News about the Kingdom being here, about forgiveness of sins, everlasting life, tithing, baptism being born again, righteousness, love, doing works for GOD and many other things. Over those two days what would you say was the most important thing that Jesus had to say to the people? The message of Christ crucified and risen from the dead by GOD is of paramount importance now, but not then, It had not happened.
If you had an opportunity to convert someone at work, a neighbor next door, or across the street, or even one of your family members – what would be the most important thing that you would try and put over, or talk about? something that would mean life or death, heaven or hell, GOD’S blessings or curses. The options are numerous, and all, I am sure, very important one aspect of our faith, which I do not hear a lot of to-day, which I feel is paramount, and more important than anything else for us all to fully understand and have wisdom and knowledgeable about., and that is, “GOD the Father” who sent Jesus to us. “GOD the Father” from whom all things come. Jesus own “GOD and Father”
(John14v31). Jesus said the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. We must have the same attitude. We are in Christ, but we serve GOD, GOD the Father is over all and in all. Jesus says in (John14v28) I am going to the Father for the Father is greater than I (1Cor11v3). The head of every man is Christ, and the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is GOD (John15v1) Jesus said.” I am the true vine and “My Father is the Gardiner”.

We need to know “GOD The Father” that He really and truly does exist, and that Jesus came to reconcile us,back (2Cor5V18 &19) makes it quite clear – All this is from GOD who reconciled us to himself through Christ and also gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that GOD was reconciling the world to himself in Christ. And He GOD has committed to us the message of reconciliation. (v20) We are therefore Christs ambassadors, as though GOD were making his appeal through us, we implore you on Christs behalf be reconciled to GOD and help others to also come to know GOD their Creator and Loving Father.
In (Mark 12v28) One of the teachers of the law asked Jesus-of all the commandments-which is the most important? When bringing others to know GOD, this commandment should come first. Here it is (Mark 12v29) the most important one answered Jesus, is this “Hear O’ Israel the LORD the LORD is one.” Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength (v31).The second is this “Love your neighbor as yourself.” there is no commandment greater than these (v32) Well said teacher, the man replied “You are right in saying that GOD is One and there is no other but Him. v33. To love Him with all your heart with all your understanding and with all your strength and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices or works.
(This I think, is the answer to our question, Of what should we preach, as THE MOST Important ASPECT of our Faith to others.) Do you know GOD, THE FATHER OF JESUS? Sadly, this present day world which is now fast passing away, does not even know, or even respect, or even believe, that Jesus has even got a GOD and FATHER who is also OURS! WE who do believe in the existence of THE MOST HIGH, ALMIGHTY GOD, of ALL CREATION, OUR ABBA FATHER, are few and far between! As Jesus said it would be in the END TIMES, which we are now well and truly into, as the OLD is passing away and the New Kingdom of GOD is Dawning.
These two commandments of Loving GOD and our Neighbors come from the old testament, Deuteronomy (6v4) which goes on to say in (v7). Impress them on your children, ( which we do not do in our schools) talk about them when you sit at home, and when you walk along the road, and when you lie down, and when you get up. v8. Tie them as symbols on your hands, and bind them on your foreheads. v9. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates. It goes on to say. “Fear the LORD your GOD, serve Him only (v14) Do not follow other gods, the gods of the people around you. v15. For the LORD your GOD, who is among you, is a jealous GOD, and He will destroy you from the face of the land, If you do-not give him glory and praise. The greatest travesty and sin a man can ever commit in the eyes of GOD, is to disobey the most important commandment, TO KNOW BELIEVE IN AND GIVE PRAISE HONER AND THANKS TO GOD OUR LOVING FATHER. Shout out to GOD “I LOVE YOU and BELIEVE in YOU and YOUR Son”
With such a warning, I am sure you will agree with me, that we need to be quite sure in our minds, that we need to know and understand THAT GOD REALLY DOES EXIST, and put HIM in the right perspective in our thinking and in our prayers and especially our WORSHIP which is not happening, and above all, when we are bringing others to know GOD, THE WORK OF JESUS AND OURS. That is if we are going to listen to Jesus the one GOD sent, and obey His commandments to make disciples of all nations, we need to know all there is to know about GOD who Jesus came to reveal and reconcile us to, even to die for. Did not GOD say in Mark (9 v 7). This is my Son whom I love. Listen to HIM.
Let’s look at a few scriptures about God the Father. In (1Corin8v3) it says that “The man who loves GOD, is known to GOD”, (v4). We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no GOD but ONE v5. For even if there are so called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many lords) (indeed there are). v6 Yet for us there is but ONE GOD, The Father, from whom all things come and for whom we live, and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things come, and through whom we live 7 but not everyone knows this. Most people miss the word from and through AND THAT ALL THINGS COME FROM GOD even Jesus.
This is very important. Everything came from GOD, through Jesus, and we live for GOD, through Jesus. (Psalm 82v6) tells us, we who believe are all gods, we are all sons of the Most High GOD v7 but we will die like mere men we will fall like every other ruler. v5 says, People know nothing. They walk about in darkness; and all the foundations of the earth are shaken. Our foundational beliefs must be strong and true if we are going to grow in UNITY and bring people to believe in OUR ONE and ONLY GOD. In Math (23 v 9 ) Jesus tells us - Do not call anyone on earth Father for you have ONE Father and He is in Heaven. (v 10 ) Nor are you to be called “teacher’ for you have ONE teacher, the Christ.
In (John 1v3). Talking about Jesus the Word it says. Through him, all things were made, without him nothing was made that has been made in (v17) It says again “grace and truth came through (that all important word) Jesus Christ” (v14)“The son came from the Father full of grace and truth”
(John 1v18) is also very important to us, and Tells us a lot about GOD. No-one has ever seen GOD, but God the only begotten Son, who is at the Fathers side, has made him known. That is what Jesus does, makes GOD known AND SO SHOULD WE. Why has no-one ever seen GOD but Jesus? The reason is in (1Timothy 6v16) GOD lives in unapproachable light whom no-one has seen or can see not because He is spirit and cannot be seen. Jesus has seen him the Word says so. (Hebrews 1v3) says the Son is the radiance of GOD’S Glory and the exact representation of His being (he is a copy of GOD’S being). This tells us GOD is a being , This is written in.( Danial 7 v 9 to 19) And very graphically IN MANY OTHER PLACES, (Revel 4 and 5 is about Jesus)
The other point to note is that Jesus is at the side of the Father and there is other scriptures (Hebrews 1v13) where GOD says to Jesus his son, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”. (Psalm 110v1) and (Matthew 22v44, Mark 12v36) says the same four times in all”. For Jesus to sit at the right hand of the Father. The Father, GOD must be sitting in another throne on Jesus left. But is not GOD a spirit? Yes! he certainly is, scripture tels us GOD has 7 Spirits, but the scripture tells us He is also a being, and has a form, like you and me as well. We were made in His image and likeness.
(Hebrews 1v3) says the Son is the radiance of GOD’S Glory and the exact representation of His being (he is a copy of GOD’S being). This tells us that GOD is a being. In (John 5v37) & 38) Jesus told the Jews. The Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me, you have never heard his voice or seen his form (v38) nor does his Word dwell in you, for you do not believe in the one He sent. (1 John 5 v 9 to 12) also says that we must believe GODS testimony about His Son, that He GOD promised to send to us in the Old Testament.
From this and many other scripture we can learn, that GOD has a voice, a form and is a being. We also know he has an image. Daniel (7v 9 to 14) is a good description of the Father and the Son, as is Rev (4 and 5). If we go right back to (Genesis 1 v 26 & 27) it says “Then GOD said, Let us make man in our image in our likeness“. In (v 27) it says “So GOD created man in His own image”. in the image of GOD he created him (man). I think this was GOD talking to Jesus. In Exodus (33 v 21) We read that GOD allowed Moses to see his back as he passed by, but told him my face must not be seen. This was not Jesus that Moses wanted to see. We know that we can and have seen Jesus face.
So yes GOD has an image, as well as being and is an invisible Spirit. In fact GOD has seven spirits as we have said (Rev 5v6 & 4v5) tells us that. As you see Jesus, that’s exactly what GOD looks like. (John 14v9-12) Jesus says If you have seen me, you have seen the Father, we are one and the same. This of course does not mean Jesus is The Father, he only looks and acts and was given the same power as GOD the Father. GOD also has a body, if you can see Jesus for who he really is. You have seen His Father and Our Father, his GOD and our GOD. As it says Jesus is the image and exact replica of GOD, so are we, Jesus is clearly not The Father, but His Son. We are told to believe in the son of GOD, that means believing in two people A Father and a Son.
In (John 17 v 25), the last prayers of Jesus for himself, the disciples and all the believers, Jesus makes this statement. Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you and they know that you have sent me” (v 26) I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may also be in them.
If we do not know GOD (we cannot have Him or His love in us) because GOD is love. This is so important (the world does not know GOD). Jesus says that he will continue to make GOD known. We who believe in Jesus must do our best to also make the Father known. We must follow Jesus our High Priests example if we want to spread the good news of GODS gospel, the Kingdom of GOD that is at hand is about GOD’S LOVE, which we can and will receive ourselves by believing in and knowing GOD Our Father. The reason being, that unless we know and make the Father known, His love cannot be in us, nor can Jesus be in us. They go together like a lamp and oil without both, the light of GOD, His Love, and His Spirit, will not shine from us. (Rev21v23)
Listen again to Jesus statement in (John 14v6) “I am the way the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me (v7). If you really knew me ( which most people dont) you would know my Father AS WELL. (You cannot have one without the other) (v9). Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father (v10). Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own, rather it is the Father living in me, who is doing His work. (GOD working as always through Jesus and if we believe, God will work and shine through us too, Because we were created to be the Temple of GOD so that He as with Jesus can live in and through us. That is if we have by our own choice have decided to offer our lives forever, to GOD and His Son for BOTH of them to live in US, by HIS, GODS SPIRIT our teacher and guide, and want to also be in the body of GOD and His Christ. We in them and them in us! NOT JUST JESUS?
Jesus is the way to the Father, but to the Father we must go, he knows all the truth about the Father, and we have life in the Father through Jesus. Jesus is also the light of the world that shines in and out of every man, who believes in him. He is the true light of God. The lamp as in Rev 22 v 24 ) If we and Jesus are the lamp and the oil is GOD’S Holy Spirit, GODS light will shine from us all over the world. In (John1v4) it says; In him was life and that life was the light of men. Three or four of the ten virgins were missing something in their Lamps, the Oil, the Holy Spirit of Love that shines with GOD’S light and LOVE. We need to be sure that we have this light, the anointing oil of GOD’S Holy Spirit of LOVE, that we receive when we have been UNITED back to our Heavenly Father and His Son through rebirth in the waters of baptism. Which is something ells we need to believe in.
Forgive me from going on and on like a dripping tap, but the lack of knowledge about the above, most important commandments of all creation, is where and why this OLD WORLD THAT IS NOW PASSING AWAY has gone wrong
Lets go back to the woman at the well (John 4 v 23) where the water runs like a running bubbling River. Jesus talks about worshiping the Father. A time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship and praise the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks (v 24) GOD is spirit and His worshipers must worship in spirit and truth. This is what we should want the whole world to strive for. This must be the ultimate master plan and main objective of all in Christ, to UNITE and give glory to Our GOD and Father, as well as our Lord Jesus Christ. satins job is to not let you even believe in GOD let alone worship Him. I hardly hear anyone talking or preaching about GOD the Father these days, Let alone Worshiping GOD the Father.
Where are people going wrong? Does everyone understand and know GOD the Father. I don’t think so, I know they don’t (Matthew 7v21) Jesus says “Not everyone who says to me “Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven”, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”. Many will say on that day Lord did we not prophesy, drive out demons perform miracles in your name. Then I will tell them plainly Jesus says – I never knew you, away from me you evil doers. You did not do the will of my Father.( Which is to make GOD known) (Mark 7v6 to9) Jesus agrees with Isaiah. These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me (v7) They worship me in vain, their teachings are, but rules taught by men. You have let go of the commands of GOD and are holding onto the traditions of man (v9) you have a fine way of setting aside the commands of GOD in order to observe your own traditions.
(Romans 3 v 9 to 12) re-iterates this all important requirement concerning knowing all about GOD the Father. Jews and gentiles alike are all under sin, (v 10) as it is written, there is no-one who understands no-one who seeks GOD (v12). All have turned away, they have together become worthless, no one knows GOD. Yes! as Jesus said, the first and most important commandment of all is to WORSHIP and love GOD Our Father who is in heaven, hollowed be His name. For thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory for ever and ever. If you really know Jesus you would know his Father and if you really know GOD you would also know his son (John 14 v 7).
Lets look at the relationship between Jesus and GOD the Father. First, I think we need to see that it says, GOD, Is greater than Jesus (John 14 v 28) tells us that – I am going to the Father for the Father is greater than I. (v 31) the world must learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me to do. We must have that same relationship with GOD as well as Christ. (1 Corin 11 v 3) also says, Now I want you to realize, that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of every woman is man, and the head of Christ is GOD, and again in (Eph 4 v 6) it says v 4 There is one body, one Spirit. v5 “One Lord, One Faith, one baptism, (v6). one GOD and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all, even in and through Jesus Christ.(Eph1v10). We also need GODS love as well as Jesus in and through us.
(Hebr1v2). Says in these last days GOD has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir over all things (v8). GOD says about His Son. Your throne, O’ God will last for ever and ever (GOD Calls Jesus God) (v9).You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness, therefore GOD (talking about Jesus) your GOD has set you above your companions, Yes, Jesus is also God (we must not forget that) and he is worthy to be praised. It does not mean we must stop worshiping GOD the Father. nor are we to stop praising Jesus (Rev 5v12) says – to him who sits on the throne (and) to the Lamb, be praise, honor and glory for ever and ever. In John (5 v 22) it says that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father who sent Him. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (We must also worship GOD because it is the first, and our most important commandment of all, as well as giving praise to Jesus,)
The book of revelation really drives the point home of the importance of GOD the Father right from chapter 1v1 which reads, the revelation of Jesus Christ which GOD gave him. To show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John.
In the last chapter Rev (22v8) John falls down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing him everything. In (v7) Jesus spoke through the angel and said “Behold, I am coming soon blessed is he who keeps the words of the Prophesy in this book,” at this John falls down to worship and the angel said “Do not do It. I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers the prophets and of all who keep the words of this book - Worship GOD.
In (Rev 19v10) After the angel had told John these are the true words of GOD, he also fell down at his feet to worship him, but the angel said do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship GOD – for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of Prophesy. This is very powerful and important scripture. (Rev22v16) reads. I Jesus have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches.
I really believe that this message needs to be preached in the world to-day which will definitely bring TOTAL UNITY to all the Christian churches, because then, they will all have GODS LOVE in them. Jesus came to reveal GOD His Fathers Love to us, which is His Holy Spirit in us, to reconcile us to GOD, to pave the way for us to come back to the Father, by taking all our sins on his shoulder at the cross. He also came to teach us to praise worship and give thanks for all things to GOD our Father, which does not hardly ever happen any more or any where.
The people of GOD the Jews and even all the experts of the law from the High Priests down and even all the profits of old did not know or understand who or what GOD’S plan was. That He GOD wants to live with His Holy Spirit of LOVE in and through all of us HIS Children. That GOD wants to give us all eternal life and that life was in His Son. Listen to Jesus final prayer (John17v3) Now this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true GOD and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
There are many other scripture’s to show us the importance of praising and worshiping GOD, and really knowing the difference between Jesus and GOD. (Romans 15 v 5) really sums it up. May the GOD who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of UNITY among yourselves, as you follow Christ Jesus (v6) So that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the GOD and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ in order to bring praise to GOD. UNITY is what we need so desperately especially in all the Christian Religions that are so divided.
UNITY can only be achieved if we have Love and understanding one for another, and that kind of Love only comes from Worshiping knowing and believing in GOD who gives it.
When the world does this I believe Christ will come again. As I read and wrote this verse one very still and quiet Saturday morning at twenty past five in the morning on the 3rd April 1993 while I was preparing this sermon for the Sunday evening service. I said to GOD, is this really from you? Is this really what’s wrong with all the different Christian religions that they only know Jesus, but they don’t know you? Please Lord give me a sign to show me that this is what is wrong in the world to-day.
With that there was an almighty crash, bang and rumbling and crack of thunder right over my head and all around, the noise was incredible. Everyone in and around our suburb was woken up by the thunder. In that thunder GOD said to me, “Yes, that is what is wrong with the world to-day as it always has been. Give this message to my people. They must know the LORD their GOD and that beside me there is no other GOD. No not one, I am the Only True GOD. I am a jealous GOD and I will not give my glory to another. No more than I would take away the honor and glory due to my Son. Preach this message to my people.
What does all this mean to us in our lives. What is the bottom line? It means that there cannot be anything more important in our lives than Worshiping, loving thanking and praising GOD, the Father of Jesus from who all things come as well as Jesus, through whom all things come. I believe with all my heart, that if we have not got this right that we have got nothing right. We are still walking around in darkness on the earth.
Yes! Jesus is the only way to the Father. Yes!, and no-one comes to the Father except through Jesus. But to the Father we must go with our praise Worship our loving admiration, thanks, and our sins. If we do not come to the Father through following Jesus example, and listening to our High Priest, the only mediator between man and God, we have missed the boat altogether. The main reason Jesus came into the world from the Father was WHAT?
To reconcile us to our Father The Most High GOD, the Ancient of Days our Abba Father.
(1John 4v1) says “Dear friends do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from GOD” because it says many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1John4V2) says “This is how you can recognize the Spirit of GOD, every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, is from GOD. (v3) but, every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus, is not from GOD. This is the spirit of the anti- Christ (a common beliefs is that GOD did not send His Son but came himself, or sent a part of himself, or another form of himself and that GOD and Jesus are one and the same person, there for if you worship Jesus you don’t have to worship GOD) (v6.) says “We are from GOD, and whoever knows GOD listens to us, but whoever is not from GOD does not listen to us. “This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the Spirit of falsehood. Remember Jesus prayer in (John 17 v25) Righteous Father though the world does not know you – I know you. There are a lot of people that do not know GOD the Father. I have been thrown out of many churches for believing this.
Finally (2John V9) Says anyone who runs ahead and does not have the teaching of Christ does not have GOD, whoever continues in the teaching, has both the Father and the Son (v10), says If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him (v11) Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work. We must Know and love them BOTH.
Ultimately (1 John 4v7) says “Dear friends, let us love one another for loves comes from GOD. Everyone who loves has been born of GOD and knows GOD (v8) Whosoever does not love does not know GOD, because GOD is love (v9) This is how GOD showed His love among us. He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.(Live in GODS LOVE HIS HOLY SPIRIT ) This alone will give us the UNITY all the nations of the world need.
My prayer is that all people of all religions, especially the many Christian religions who seek to know, serve and understand GOD will become UNITED in there beliefs. That everyone will come to know and praise and give thanks both to the Father and the Son, which is what the scriptures command us to do, as well as GOD’S Holy Spirit. The whole family of GOD, Our Heavenly Family of ZION. (Heb12v 22 to 24).
This I believe is what the Gospel is all about. First and foremost, about the VERY EXISTENCE OF GOD OUR FATHER who the world has always walked away from and ignored, then GOD’S Grace Forgiveness and Faithful Love for mankind His creation. Secondly all there is to know about believing that Jesus IS GODS Son, WHO GOD ANOINTED to be the Savior of the world, and was the MESASIAH who GOD HAD IN THE PAST promised HE GOD WOULD SEND, and then what GOD accomplished on the cross THROUGH HIS Son by RAISING Him FROM THE DEAD. Plus a whole lot more. Thirdly the next step would be how to go about receiving our salvation for our souls, and receiving our forgiveness for our sins, being reborn as a new creation and adoption as sons of the MOST HIGH GOD OUR FATHER through burying our old life and worldly spirit in the water of baptism. Fourth most important of all knowing that we have then become true sons of GOD OUR FATHER like Jesus our High Priest and filled with the most VALUABLE GIFT OF ALL, GODS UNIQUE HOLY SPIRIT OF LOVE, wisdom, knowledge and understanding, which is our guarantee of being adopted as GODS sons. May GOD Bless all who read this word, with His Spirit of UNITY that must flow among all the true believers that worship HIM, as well as HIS Son, and who truly seek to know and serve Him.
When we now say we believe, by faith and faith alone, let that FAITH be that We believe that Jesus was the Son of GOD our Father and have faith and believe in all the things Jesus believes in and told us to do.
